On the plus side, since the umbrella is bubble- or dome-shaped and made
of clear PVC (vinyl) you can put it over your head and shoulders keeping
them very dry and helping prevent the umbrella from turning inside-out
in the wind. (A regular umbrella has to be held up high, thereby
letting rain hit your head/shoulders from the side, and also letting a
lot of air strike the umbrella from underneath. Also, the fabric of a
regular umbrella tends to let mist pass through.) Also, the plastic
handle, the metal shaft, the metal ribs, and the clear PVC seem
reasonably sturdy.
